Gerald Arthur Riskey, 78, of Leesburg, FL, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side. Gerald was born on April 21, 1943, in Fond Du Lac, WI, to the late Marjorie and Arthur Riskey. Gerald was well loved by everyone that knew him, he was an amazing husband, father, son, and friend and will be deeply missed. Gerald led a good life and had many accomplishments; he carried the Olympic Torch in 1996, retired as the Regional Manager of M&I Trust Company (Wausau, WI), proudly served his country as a veteran for the US Navy in Vietnam aboard the USS Cunningham (DD-752), he also holds the rank of Lt. Commander in the Naval Reserve, he also served as an Information Officer for the US Naval Academy for 20 years. Gerald was able to enjoy his retirement by playing lead trombone in the Double M Swing band in Florida and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Gerald is survived by his loving wife Mary; his son Curtis Riskey (Taylor); daughter, Jennifer [Riskey/Lemke] Creske (Ben); grandchildren; Emma Ludema (Jesse), Andrea Riskey, Quinton Riskey, Jayden Hedrick, Liam Riskey, Tyler Lemke, Justin Lemke, Lauren Creske, Blake Creske; great grand-daughter, Heidi Ludema, and a host of many family members and friends. Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, and his son-in-law David Lemke. Services will be held at a later date, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Arrangements are entrusted to Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leesburg, FL.
