Lorraine Weigel Fleisner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory - Marshfield on May 13, 2025.
Lorraine "Snooky" Theresa Weigel Fleisner
Born: 12/12/1943 - Death: 05/05/2025
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield. Visitation begins at 3:00 pm and at 5:00 the memorial services will be performed by Father Dan Thelen. The meal will follow at Rembs Celebration Center.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Christopher and one sister, Patricia Passer of Minnesota. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
Lorraine received the name 'Snooky' from her grandfather when she was born.
She was born to Oscar Sr. and Leopol Tina Weigel.
She has lived her life mainly in Marshfield. Her parents farmed just outside of the City of Marshfield. Snooky received her education from St. John's Parochial School and then, Columbus High School.
She graduated in 1956. Snooky worked at 'Ma' Bell' (GTE) phone company for many years while taking care of her Mother and Father.
She later worked several places to support her family and go onto Technical College - NTC. Snooky received several degrees for Medical Assistant in 1992 and the American Association Medical Assistants in 1993. She continued on to graduate from the American Academy of Coders. She retired from this job which was at the Marshfield Clinic and the St. Joseph's Hospital. Snooky was well known for her wedding cakes, crocheting dolls and blankets, making German Christmas Stars and her festive Strawberries (not those you buy in the store). Besides her fabulous cooking and baking skills she loved spending time with family and playing games with them. She volunteered her time at St. Mary's Catholic School and the catechism program with her niece. The ultimate was her German Christmas re-enactment. She was always dressed with style and grace. If you saw Snooky, she would have a smile on her face and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She spent her time volunteering rides to cancer patients and her great cousins. She took care of her Dad's second wife with much love until her passing.
Snooky is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Sylvester, Edwin, Oscar Jr. and Herman and sisters: Marion and Annette.
