Lorraine H. Zullo passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Dec 26, 2025. Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose life was defined by love, commitment, and family. Born and raised in San Francisco, she developed a deep appreciation for community and home that remained with her throughout her life. After graduation from Catholic schools, Lorraine attended community college to compliment her administrative skills to obtain a position at the offices of Paul Mason Vineyards in San Francisco. Lorraine volunteered at the San Francisco Presidio where she met Sam Zullo, the love of her life, at a Presidio sponsored dance. Sam was completing his military duty with the army. While dating, Sam completed his tour of duty and was discharged in 1959. They married and moved to
Santa Cruz, CA to begin their 66 years of marital bliss. Sam had obtained an engineering position at the City of Santa Cruz. In 1961, they moved to
San Jose, CA to begin their long-term commitment to both San Jose and Los Gatos in the bay area where they spent the majority of their adult life.
While her children were young, Lorraine was a willing companion on countless camping adventures, beginning with long road trips pulling a trailer, children, and dog in tow. In later years, she continued to enjoy traveling with family and friends. Most cherished were the times spent together with Sam, her children, and grandchildren-gathered at the beach or surrounded by the beauty of the Tahoe mountains.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Sam; her children, Jeff (Amy), Samuel (Debra), Dana (Steven), Karen (Thomas), and Thomas (Tamra); her 13 grandchildren; and her 5 great-grandchildren (3 more great grandchildren due in 2026), all of whom carry forward her legacy of kindness and devotion to family.
A rosary will be held on Jan 15 at 7:00 PM at Darling Fischer Chapel in Los Gatos. A funeral service will follow on Jan 16 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Los Gatos. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
