Lorrie Frances Rheault, age 64, Portland, ND, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Mayville, ND, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Lorrie was born on September 28, 1960, the daughter of Merlin and Frances (LaDoucer) Finke in Moorhead, MN. She was a graduate of Moorhead High School, class of 1979, and was married to Dennis Rheault on September 29, 1979.
Lorrie proudly served in the Air National Guard from 1981 to 1985, a time that helped shape her strong, resilient character. Over the years, she embraced the joys and challenges of life, raising four sons whom she loved deeply. The love for her children was boundless.
Lorrie’s life was not without hardship, but she faced every challenge with an infectious optimism and energy that inspired those around her. She was a woman who truly lived life to the fullest, and her vibrant spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Lorrie is survived by her four boys, Dennis II (DJ), Joseph (Toni), Jimmy, and Justin (Megan). As well as her grandchildren, Adrienne (Jimmy), Lily and Jack (Joe and Toni), Trystan, Reagan, Nash and Mila (Justin and Megan). She is also survived by her siblings Marlain Graffis, Johnny Finke, Dawn (Vincent) LaCrouix, Jim (Susan) Finke, and Merlin Finke II; as well as several nieces and nephews. In recent years, Lorrie found joy and companionship in her relationship with Kirby Moore, a partner who brought love and laughter into her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlin and Frances Finke, her brothers Joseph and James, and her life companion Ray Heier.
Lorrie’s family and friends will forever cherish her memory and will miss her infectious laughter and her endless enthusiasm for life.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for Lorrie will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead, MN.
