Lottie Lucille Compton

Lottie Compton was born on January 26, 1942, in DeRidder, Louisiana, to Rudolph and Sophronia Sanders. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose love and faith touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by sister, Yvonne Sanders, her son, Eugene Burks and wife Brenda, and her daughters, Eleena Bugg and husband David, Michelle Mason and husband David. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Chris Burks, Michael Burks, Preston Burks, Randall Burks, Jamie Grimes, Robert Burks, Adren Brandon, Amber Mason, Felicia Mason, Chelsie Ledyard. Kelsie Bugg, Kaitlyn Chadwick, and Kourtney Bugg, along with numerous great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Softonia Sanders; her sister, Joy Austin; her brothers, Wayne Sanders, Joe Sanders, and Glenn Sanders; her sons, Jerry Burks and Prentiss Burks; and husband Jim Compton.

Lottie was a faithful servant of the Lord. She loved quilting, singing karaoke and spending quality time with her friends and family. She always had a way of finding joy in the simple pleasures of life and made the best of every situation through her faith in God.

Though deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that she is rejoicing in Heaven, reunited with loved ones and resting in eternal peace.
