Nina Sue Compton (Ogle), age 73, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, in
Milton, Florida. Born on June 30, 1952, in
Burkesville, Kentucky, Nina lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering love for her family, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Allen County High School, Nina carried the values of her upbringing throughout her life-kindness, humility, and devotion. She was known for her selfless nature and steadfast commitment to God, which guided her through every chapter of her journey.
Nina's greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Dennie Joe Compton II and daughter-in-law Tonya Lynn Myers Compton; grandchildren, Justin Kyle Compton and his wife Tiffany Ann Compton, Dallas Austin Compton and fiancée Dallas Makayla Fink, Leslie Jordon Ferguson and her husband Zebulon Trueman-Dale Ferguson, and Tyler Chace Compton; as well as great-grandchildren Parker Forrest Compton, Lorelie Annalise Ferguson, and Lucy Jo Ferguson. She is also survived by her dear close friend Chris Trosper. Her home was always open to many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who found comfort in her presence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilford Archie Ogle; mother, Ruby Ann Key Ogle Thacker; sister, Geneva Ann Gann; brother, Wilford Archie Ogle II; and sister, Sandra Jo Stinson; and faithful companion, Myles. Their memories remained close to Nina's heart throughout her life.
Nina found peace in simple pleasures-reading a good book, crocheting with care and creativity, or walking along the beach where she felt closest to nature's beauty. Her beloved companions, Missy Boo Kitty and Ranger, were constant sources of comfort and joy.
Nina Sue Compton leaves behind a legacy of love rooted in faith and family. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire lives grounded in compassion and grace.
