Lottie Mae Rudd Hufford Kerr, 95, of Farmington, Iowa passed away 12:30 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Donnellson Health Center. Born May 13, 1918 in Dallas City, Illinois the daughter of James Hugh and Nellie May (St. Clair) Rudd. On December 19, 1936 she married Loren Hufford in Keosauqua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1962. On December 26, 1964 she married William Kerr in Farmington, Iowa. Survivors include her husband Bill Kerr of Farmington, Iowa, one daughter Patricia (Jerry) Schulz of Fort Madison, Iowa, four step-children Gary (Diane) Kerr of Woodside, California, Beverly (Bob) Stelk of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Linda (Lee) McAtee of Portland, Oregon and Marcia (Stanley) Huff of Vacaville, California, three grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, fourteen step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one son, one grandson, four sisters and two brothers. Mae was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the American Legion Auxiliary for 60 years and a former member of the Farmington Cemetery Association. She worked for twenty six years at the Bonaparte Glove Factory. Mae enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers and her family. Friends may call from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington. The family will meet with friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Farmington United Methodist Church. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Farmington United Methodist Church with Reverend Goldie Laymon and Reverend Tom Schulz officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington, Iowa. A memorial has been established in her memory for the Farmington United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.schmitzlynkfuneralhome.com. Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home of Farmington is assisting the family with the arrangements.
