Mrs. Lottie Mae Spruill Walton, age 86, of Willingboro, New Jersey, peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on October 31, 2025, at Duke HomeCare & Hospice Pavilion, surrounded by love and grace.

Born on May 11, 1939, in Garysburg, North Carolina, to the late Isreal Boone and the late Melissa Spruill, Lottie was raised in a home grounded in faith, humility, and perseverance. She lived a life marked by compassion, quiet strength, and steadfast devotion to her family and to God.

In the late 1950s, Lottie was united in marriage to the late Mr. Samuel Joshua Walton, with whom she shared a loving and enduring bond until his passing in May 1987. From this union, they were blessed with three daughters: Iris Lemorny Walton, who preceded her in death in July 1976; and two surviving daughters: Michelle Evette Walton Robinson and husband Curtis and Lisa Walton Bullard and husband Wendell.

Lottie also leaves to cherish her memory her beloved Stepbrother: Melvin Vassor.

She found immense joy in her role as a Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She cherished her grandsons: Samuel Joshua Robinson, Tyler Alexander Robinson, and Kyle Kevin Robinson-and absolutely adored Her great-grandson: Jayden Robinson, whose boundless energy always brought laughter to Her heart, even when she playfully pretended otherwise. She also shared a special bond with Kashein Ingram, whom she loved dearly.

A proud graduate of Gumberry High School, Lottie continued her education at Staten Island Community College and later attended the New York City School of Social Work. As a dedicated social worker, she nurtured her lifelong gift for listening, helping, and encouraging others. Her empathy was boundless, and she had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen, heard, and loved-often through softly spoken words and her signature smile. She was known to go above and beyond for her clients, treating each one with dignity, patience, and care.

Lottie appreciated the simple joys of life-good gospel music, home-cooked meals, and peaceful car rides where she could relax, reflect, and, as she often said with a grin, "leave the driving to somebody else."

A humble and forgiving woman, Lottie drew strength and serenity from her faith. Her favorite scriptures-Mark 11:22–26, John 14:27–29, and Psalm 23-were not just verses she quoted; they were principles she lived by each day.

From Mark 11:22–26, she learned to "have faith in God"-to trust even when life was uncertain and to forgive others freely so that her heart would remain light. Her prayers were constant, and she believed deeply that faith could move mountains, heal hearts, and restore peace.

From John 14:27–29, she embraced Christ's promise of peace. Lottie often reminded her family that the kind of peace God gives is not the absence of trouble but the quiet assurance that everything will be all right. In moments of hardship, she would simply say, "The Lord's got it," and rest in that truth.

And in Psalm 23, she found comfort throughout her life-knowing the Lord was her Shepherd and that His goodness and mercy would follow her always. She leaned on that scripture in both joy and sorrow, and it carried her gently through her final days.

She lived by those words-walking in faith, extending grace, and believing deeply in the power of prayer. She was a sweet soul who loved everyone and always sought the good in others.

Though she will be deeply missed, Lottie's spirit lives on through her two devoted daughters, Michelle and Lisa, her grandchildren, great-grandchild, extended family, and all who were blessed to know her. Her memory remains a beacon of love, faith, and forgiveness for generations to come.

Lottie also loved good food-especially dining at The Angus Barn in North Carolina-shopping at Roses, and attending the North Carolina State Fair.
