Louie Richardson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home on Oct. 17, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Louie Ray Richardson, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on October 13, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Richardson and cherished mother Mattie Sue Richardson, as well as his half-brother Leonard Richardson. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Toni D. Richardson; son, Jason Richardson; daughter, Jennifer Walters (Steven); three grandchildren, Dawson Riley Richardson, Raegan Elise Walters, and Remi Brielle Walters; two sisters, Brenda Anderson (Jimmy) and Suzanne Everett (Sammy), along with many other relatives and friends.
Louie graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School in 1970. He served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He worked for S & S Sprinkler Company from 1970-1977. He then established his own company, Richardson's Septic Tank Service, Inc., and was a successful businessman from 1977- 2016. He enjoyed golfing early on in life. His favorite place to visit was the Smoky Mountains, where he had created a second home. He also loved riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles and taking trips with his family and friends. He had a great passion for Go-Kart racing, where he was well known for his vast knowledge of how to win on the oval dirt track. He traveled all over the country for racing and was a great resource to many upcoming racers and mentored all ages for many years.
It is with heavy hearts that we gather to honor and celebrate the life of someone who meant so much to each of us. And though he has been reunited with his father and mother in heaven, his love continues through the family he cherished here on earth. We will miss him deeply - the sound of his laugh, the warmth of his embrace and the comfort of his presence. So, while today we grieve, we also cherish the gift of his life, the love he gave so freely, and the impact he made on every single person who took even a moment in his presence. Please keep his beloved wife, Toni, whom he adored and shared an eternal bond, close in prayer as she navigates life, adjusting to his absence. His departure leaves a space that words cannot fill.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with family and friends meeting in the Chapel for service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Dawson Richardson, Derek Everett, Jeremy Dickens, David Lynn, Justin Lynn, and Matthew Pierce.
