Louis Charles “Charlie” Boatwright III

Louis Charles “Charlie” Boatwright III, of Glen Flora, TX, passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on November 9, 1965, in Wharton, TX, Charlie was a beloved father, Paw paw, brother, and friend to many. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for his family, and a passion for farming and cattle.
Charlie was a graduate of Wharton High School. He was a dedicated farmer, finding joy in working the land. He farmed corn, silo, maze, and rice, showcasing his commitment to agriculture. In his free time, he enjoyed dove hunting, fishing in freshwater and saltwater, and cherished moments spent with his family.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Cody “Cody” Boatwright and wife, Codi; granddaughters Walker and Blake Boatwright. He is also survived by his sisters: Doree Kieborz, Darlene Boatwright, and Donna Brown and husband, John Brown. Along with numerous nieces and nephews and close family friends.
Visitation for Charlie Boatwright will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 5:00 pm- 8:00 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. A Funeral Service on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 10:00 am, also at Wharton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Brown, Justin Brown, Westin Brown, Patrick Wearden, Jr., Jay Johnson and Austin Deese. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donny Kainer, John Brown and Ed Boatwright.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
