Louis Bontya, III
On October 11, 2025, of Williamstown. Age 76. Beloved husband of Christina (nee Held). Devoted father of Shannon Bontya-Murphy (Lindsay) and Michael Bontya. Dear step-father of Christopher Price (Theresa), John Price (Misty) and Bryan Price. Loving grandfather of Nicholas, Lucas, Maddy, Brittany (Kenny), Sophia, Caitlyn (Chris) and Jake. Dear brother of Theresa Pellicore (Frank), Bernice Keller, Richard Bontya and the late Joseph Delorenzo.
Louis Bontya, III was born and raised in Roebling, NJ to Louis, Jr. and Frances Bontya on November 9, 1948. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Louis worked as an architect and code official.
He was proud and vested in AA group in Mount Holly NJ and was a past member of Florence town council. He was also a member of veteran's club in their community Holiday City
Louis proudly celebrated 31 proud years of sobriety and loved organizing meetings and helping people with their sobriety
Louis was an avid traveler, Trump supporter, history buff and Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoyed working on his model planes, researching history, and enjoyed playing pinochle. Louis enjoyed writing and was in the process of writing his 3rd book. He loved music and playing his guitar. His favorite artist was Gordon Lightfoot. He loved his favorite beach chair, sweet treats, extra napkins when he ate and finely chopped onions.
But most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and his dog Heidi. He was a friend to many and will be sorely missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Monday November 3rd 6:00-8:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. and Tuesday November 4th 9:00-10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church 176 Stagecoach Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM. Interment, Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
