Louis Anthony Brown age 84 yrs old passed away February 25, 2026. He was born in St. Johns KY to Agnes Brangers Brown and Charles Brown on June 16, 1941. He was raised by his loving aunt, Mary Brangers Bolling.

He graduated from Ahrens Trade School in 1959 and had 2 years of college at University of Louisville.
He worked in retail sales at Minkus Stamp Co., Lowe Brothers Paint Co., and Sherwin Williams Paints and then retired from Lyndon Baptist Church as Building Manager after 23 years of service. He also served in the Kentucky Army National Guard (1962-1968) in Headquarters Company of 138th Field Artillery.

He married his childhood sweetheart Carol Louise Figg in 1966 and they enjoyed their 70 years together looking to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on March 5th. They loved traveling, especially Disney related vacations.

He was a "born collector" of everything from shells, stamps, coins, Hardrock pins, Hallmark ornaments and later deco pottery.

He was co-leader of CURE-KY with Carol and was Catholic by birth. In later years, he attended UCC and UU churches with his family. He is survived by Carol, his loving wife of 60 years. Mark Louis Brown, his natural and exceptional son and his "adopted of the heart" son, Alfredo Rivera Reyes of Mexico, who pre-deceased him in 2024. Both have been blessings to his life. He also was "Dad" to Steve Lillien who he and Carol enjoyed being a "second family" for him. Also survived by Lowell Griffin and Walter Knoop, Jr., close friends since his childhood days.

There will be a Memorial Visitation Wednesday March 4th, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive Louisville Kentucky 40243. Army Honors will start at 5pm.

Any remembrances can be made out to "Mass of the Air".
