Louis (Louie) Fiacco Sr., 82, peacefully passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 surrounded by his family. Louie was born and spent his life on the Northside of Endicott.
He is predeceased by his parents, Tony and Josephine (Ligouri) Fiacco, sister Francis Marsh, daughter-in-law Jennifer Fiacco, father-in-law Leo Guarnieri-Garner and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Louie is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Sharon; children Kristina (Joseph) Guilfoyle, Gregory (Lisa) Fiacco, Kathleen (Michael) Pastrick and Louis Fiacco Jr.; grandchildren Michael (Stephanie), Karissa (Chris), April (Jeremy), Amanda (Calvin), Taylor, Dominic, Nicholas and Sean; great-grandchildren Travis, Madelyn, Cabella, Ari and Tucker; sister Salma (Joseph) Ferraro, brother and best friend Anthony (Alice) Fiacco and brother-in-law Gene Marsh; aunt Edith Bonventre; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.
Louie was a proud Italian-American, belonging as a long-time member of the Sons of Italy Duca Degli Abruzzi in Endicott. He followed the family traditions of making homemade wine, prosciutto and sausage, tending to his bountiful garden, hunting and fishing, stopping by Snidley's, and visiting with those he loved. His family meant everything to him, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Louie was constantly joking around with everyone he met and kept his humor right until the end. He took pride in everything he did and was undeniably the hardest working person anyone would ever meet. If you drive around the Southern Tier and beyond, you'll see plenty of buildings and homes Louie built in his many years as a brick mason and member of BAC Local 3.
His family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Upstate and Lourdes Hospitals, especially nurses Nancy, Michelle and Tiffany.
Through the services of our life-long friend Marty DiPietro, the family will receive friends at Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott, Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 2 to 5 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 10 a.m. followed by burial services at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his honor be made to his favorite cause, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Salute Louie, we'll have a glass of white for you.

Our deepest sympathies to the entire Fiacco family. May God bless Sharon and the entire family in this very difficult time. Louie was a great friend who helped rebuild my front porch brick steps with the help of Lou and Joe G as well as others. I have had the pleasure of knowing Louie for 35+ years and he was the hardest working man I have ever met. My wife and I were fortunate enough to visit Louie in December 2022, he gave us a bottle of his fabulous homemade wine and made us laugh like crazy with his humor. He will be greatly missed but will continue on in our memories. God Bless Louie.
