Richard L Sukup, 78, passed away August 1, 2025 with his wife by his side.

Dick is survived by his wife, Donna; son Jason; daughter Diana. He is survived by his loving sister Paula Stillittano and family, Maribeth (Mike) Feinberg, James (Courtney) Stillittano, A.J. (Jeanne) Stillittano; brothers-in-law Tom DiLuzio, Mike DiLuzio; nieces Ashley, Michelle, Jessica DiLuzio, Nicolette (Dan) Burch. Survivors also include great nephews and niece.

Dick was a graduate of California State University at Fresno. After graduation he continued to live in California for several years before moving back to the Binghamton area.

Dick retired from Broome County Department of Solid Waste. He was also the proprietor of several bars, making lasting friendships along the way.

Dick loved his family deeply. We have many wonderful memories of our times together camping, boating and his favorite place the ocean. He was a sports enthusiast loving going to a professional baseball or football game. He looked forward to his yearly fishing trip with the guys.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at 12:00pm on August 8, 2025 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Binghamton. Family will receive friends from 11am until the time of the service.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY 13760 or Danielle House 160 Riverside Dr. Binghamton, NY 13905.

What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all we love deeply becomes part of us.
