Louis Konfrst Obituary
Louis grew up on a farm in Iowa where he helped his parents in all their farm duties. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1951 and faithfully served his country until 1954. He met LaVetta Green and the two were married on April 9, 1955 in Silver City, Iowa.
After marriage he worked as a carpenter for the majority of his career and was a member of the Carpenters Union in Omaha, Nebraska. He was a member of the Lepert Wolever VFW Post #2543. Louis enjoyed spending his free time fishing, camping, pestering LaVetta and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, LaVetta Konfrst of Plattsmouth, NE, daughter, Kandy Prax of Plattsmouth, NE, grandchildren, Nicole (Jerry Kline) Chambers of Plattsmouth, NE, Lucas (Mandy Jones)Chambers of Council Bluffs, IA, Brett Chambers of Glenwood, IA, Adam (Regina Bennett) Chambers of Glenwood, IA, Patrick Konfrst of Maryland, great grandchildren, Kendra Knapp and Alysa Knapp of Plattsmouth, NE, Kyle Ruff, Lachlan Ruff and Ainsley Chambers all of Glenwood, IA, great great grandson, Beau Ashbaugh, brothers, Donald Konfrst of Council Bluffs, IA, Gerald Konfrst of Council Bluffs, IA, Frank (Diane) Konfrst of Blair, NE, Mike (Donnetta) Konfrst of Glenwood, IA, Melvin Konfrst of Glenwood, IA, and Marvin Konfrst of Glenwood, IA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, James Konfrst, brothers, Charles Konfrst, Fredrick Konfrst, Kenneth Konfrst, sister, Kathleen Porter, great grandson, Brynn Chambers.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Plattsmouth, NE with Rev. Mike Wolfe officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, April 12, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family greeting friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
Memorials may be directed to the Plattsmouth Senior Center.
