Louis LoPorto Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery on Dec. 18, 2024.
Louie LoPorto, born in 1972 in Fullerton, California, departed this earth on Friday the 13th of December, 2024, under the light of a full moon. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Louie is survived by his cherished daughter, Raven LoPorto; his beloved grandchildren, Zayden and Vianna; his mother, Barbara; stepfather, Roger; sister, Barbi; brother-in-law, Jeremy; as well as numerous cousins and friends who held him dear. His love for his family was evident in the time he spent painting, playing and hiking with his grandchildren and sharing his creative spirit with them.
Louie had the opportunity to live and work in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he trained as a chef under a French Master Chef. During this time, he worked in a restaurant frequented by the legendary recording artist Prince. Louie returned to Arizona and brought his talents to many restaurants around Mesa. His artistry extended beyond the kitchen-he was an imaginative creator who could transform found objects into mix media sculptures and was rarely without a paintbrush in hand.
A compassionate soul with a deep love for animals, Louie had a special connection with cats. He often took in strays and nursed feral cats back to health, embodying kindness and care in all that he did. Louie loved music, from punk, to industrial metal, and eclectic European rock. Everyone who knew Louie, knew the band Ministry because of him. Louie loved his friends, and each one of them knew they could always count on him.
A celebration of Louie's life will be held at his mother's home in Mesa this January. Details will be shared with those wishing to honor his memory.
Louie's creativity, generosity, and vibrant spirit will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him. May his memory bring comfort and inspiration to all whose lives he touched.
Arrangements are cared for by Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207.
