Louis McMichael, Obituary

Louis V McMichael Jr (Snookie), widower of Audrey Hillman McMichael, died July 27th peacefully at Azalealand Nursing Home. He was a native Savannahian and the son of Louis V and Myrtle McMichael.

Snookie was a lifelong member of Southside Baptist Church, Thunderbolt Lodge No. 693 F&AM, the Oldtimers Softball Club and SAFANG.

He is survived by three daughters and one son; Debbie Parrish Bacon (Buddy) of Statesboro, Ga, Donna Anne McMichael Merriman (Steve) of Savannah, Ga, Donna Lynn Parrish Shepard (Randy) of Rincon, Ga, and Louis V McMichael III (Christie) of Mt Pleasant, SC. Snookie is also survived by 11 grandchildren,16 great grandchildren (and 2 on the way!), 4 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by wife, Betty Conaway McMichael and son, Robert E Barker Jr.

Snookie will be remembered by all as a kind and generous man. His family will always hold him in their hearts as the greatest man we've ever known.

Visitation will be from 10-1130 am on Thursday, July 31st at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Ave in Savannah, Ga.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am.
