Louis Nowasielski Obituary

With deep sadness we announce the passing of devoted father and husband, Louis Nowasielski on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025.

Lou worked for 25 years at Boeing in the IT Department and worked as a drug and alcohol counselor in the Philadelphia prison system. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1969, both on active duty and the reserves. He served during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Zellars.

He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Reino; and his son, Jimmy.

Lou is survived by his wife, Karen Harkins; his former wife, Susan Nowasielski; and his children, Jonathan Nowasielski (wife, Jessica), Jeremy Newhouse (wife, Jessie), Rachel Thompson (husband, Jamie), Rebekah Magdycz (husband, Scott); and 12 grandchildren. Lou is also survived by his brother, Dominic Boyle and his wife, Rosemary; brother-in-law, James Reino; cousin, Barbara Grzybowski; and a number of cherished nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Warchol Funeral Home, Bridgeville. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Bethany Presbyterian Church Bridgeville. Interment will follow with military honors at the National Cemetary of the Alleghenies.
