Louis Salto, 73, went to sleep on March 14, after spending the day with friends and family and telling them, "Don't be sad. Be happy for me. I'm ready." Lou died peacefully, in his sleep, in the early morning of March 15, 2025 in his Mt. Laurel Home.
Lou was born on February 7, 1952 seven minutes after his much older twin sister, Laura Lifonti(Salto), and 9 ½ years before his younger sister, Andrea Salto. He grew up in Ft. Lee, NJ where he lived with his sisters and parents, the late Costenzio and Lucy Salto.
Lou and Elizabeth, his wife of almost 50 years, enjoyed traveling to tropical islands, spending time at the Jersey Shore, and spending family vacations in Lake George, NY. Lou worked as a general manager at CCC Heavy Duty Truck Parts until retiring in 2014. At home, Lou enjoyed working in the garage, crafting beautiful furniture (or whatever he wanted) out of wood. He looked forward to playing the daily Wordle, followed the Greenbay Packers, and whatever teams his grandchildren played on. He spent many hours on the sidelines of soccer, softball, basketball, and baseball games.
Louis is survived by his wife Elizabeth Salto(Gansley), his sisters Laura and Andrea, his daughters Lisa DiPace and Julia Gilanyi, sons-in law Michael DiPace and Thomas Gilanyi, and his grandchildren Marissa, Jake, Payton, and Aubrey.
Please join us as we celebrate Lou's life.

Louie was one of my late husband´s best friends. They had many laughs and adventures together. Michael would always tell me about the time that he went on a road trip, I think to Florida, with Louie and Frank. Now, this is about the donuts they bought, there was one donut left, one of them wanted it, but in a flash another guy ate it!!! Isn´t that what friends are for .
I will always remember Louie as a calm and happy person, now happy forever

Louie...a wonderful man and childhood friend.. it was an honor and a privilege to be a part and hopefully a comfort to him during his long, brave and optimistic fight... he was a strong, humble man overwhelmed with love and devotion to his family and friends.. May you rest in comfort in Our Lords arms as you reunite with all those who went home before you... God bless you dear old friend.. till we meet again. With love, Anita

To all the Salto family especially Betty, Andrea and Laura:
Loui was such a faithful friend to my brother DR. MICHAEL CARUNCHIO and a blessing to the rest of the CARUNCHIO family that knew him. Also memories of his parents are still a vivid blessing as well. My brother MICHAEL often recalled the antics of the inseparable: Huey, Dewey and LOUI. That would be my brother MICHAEL, FRANK REVILINI and LOUI. I remember especially their trips to Florida in MICHAEL´S little orange super beetle. There was a time MICHAEL spoke of the three of them were laughing so hard on their way to Florida that MICHAEL had to pull over so they could get out and fall on the ground laughing. LOUI and BETTY were also there for my brother when he was losing his battle with Lynphoma in 2014.
May the Peace of God surround you all and give you comfort and gratitude for the precious gift of LOUI´S life as a son, husband, brother, father, grand father and friend.
For His glory ALONE,
Barbara Carunchio
