A Time to Be Born

Louis L. Thomas, Jr. began his life's journey on August 5, 1968, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was the oldest of four children. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend James Wilkerson. Louis graduated from Watson Chapel High School, Class of 1987. He proudly served four years in the United States Army. In addition, he was a certified barber who generously volunteered his time cutting hair at the VA Hospital.

Louis departed this life on Friday, October 10, 2025, at UAMS, surrounded by family and loved ones.

A Time to Remember

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Justin Thomas; one daughter, Jada Thomas; and his stepchildren, Jeremy Whitley, Jasmine Whitley, and Jayla Whitley. He is also remembered with love by his first wife, Shan Hayden, and his former wife, Cheryl Hendrix Thomas, both of whom shared meaningful chapters in his life. Louis is also survived by his father, Louis L. Thomas, Sr.; his mother, Dorothy Turner Thomas; two brothers, Rodney Thomas and Dion Thomas; one sister, Tabatha Thomas as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever remember his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 18, 2025 at 10:00 am at Eudora Missionary Baptist Church by Reverend Johnny Smith.

Visitation will be Friday October 17, 2025 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Henson-Holcomb Mortuary Chapel.
