Dear Louis and Liz,

I remember meeting Louise nearly 30 years ago when Liz wanted to learn to fly. Louise was the most effervescent person, full of joy, energy, and life. Always up for an adventure, and education was truly her wheelhouse.
I really enjoyed my friendship with Louise and admired how supportive she was of Liz, in obtaining her pilot´s license and pursuing her interest in aviation. Louise was truly a pioneer in aviation, always encouraging women to follow their dreams and take flight, both literally and figuratively.

It is with my deepest condolences that I´ve learned of her passing. I joined Zonta in the mid-90s because of Louise's invitation, she was so inclusive and always wanted to lift others up and include people in the things she believed in.

As my life became busy raising three boys, I wasn´t able to stay as involved as I would have liked, but I will always remember Louise as a person of faith, a fun, caring, and remarkable woman who believed deeply in education and in helping others succeed. She will always be remembered.

With heartfelt sympathy and love,
Laura Benson Jones xoxo

A wonderful pianist. I enjoyed listening to her play at Woman´s Club of Louisville luncheons.
