Louise Davis, 86, was a devoted mother and beloved grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and aunt. Louise was called to the resting place April 13, 2024 at Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Louise was born on March 1, 1938 to the late Ruben and Martha Mitchell in South Carolina. She attended the Berkeley Public Schools in South Carolina. Louise later moved to Trenton, NJ where she was longtime resident. She was employed with Victory Cleaners as a Presser until she retired. Louise was a member of Trenton Church of God in Christ and served on the usher board and sung in the choir.
On May 19, 1958, Louise was united in holy matrimony to the late James Davis. God blessed them with three children.
In addition to her husband and parents, Louise was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Davis; five sisters, Delores Mitchell, Barbara Mitchell, Mattie Jenkins, Virginia Murray, and Julia Johnson; two brothers, John Mitchell and Richard Howard Mitchell; a granddaughter, Tahava Davis; a son-in-law, Logia Thomas; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Kinloch and Stanley Clark.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children, Debra Thomas and Ronald Davis; two grandchildren, Osaybea Davis and DeMarcus Brown; four sisters, Emma Brown (Evan), Mary Mincey, Nancy Leach, and Ruby Fields (Rufus); a brother, William Mitchell; father-in-law, Jasper Clark, Sr. (Vivian); in-laws, Jasper Clark, Jr. (Modestine), Robert Clark (Sandra), Alan Clark, and Pam Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends.
