Louise Mary Dolan

Wilmington, DE - Louise Mary Dolan, 84, went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2021. She was born in Wilmington, DE, on May 25, 1936, to the late Angelena (Colombo) and Carmen Eysaldt. She graduated from St. Joseph on the Brandywine Parochial School and A.I. duPont High School and worked at the DuPont Company, Chestnut Run. During high school, she was a member of the Civil Air Patrol located at the former DuPont Airfield where she met her husband, John J. Dolan.

Louise was a sweet and caring mother who fostered curiosity, volunteerism, hard work, love, and genuine kindness to all. She was a founding member the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality Society at St. John the Beloved Parish, and she was active in the PTA and as a Cub Scout leader.

Louise is survived by her husband of 61 years, John J. Dolan, her children, Mark A. Dolan of Wilmington, DE, Vincent P. Dolan (Diane Cherry) of Marietta, GA, John W. Dolan (Mary Ann Quarry) of Centerville, DE, and James J. Dolan of Landenberg, PA, and her brother Carmen Eysaldt (Betty). She was predeceased by her brother Nicholas Eysaldt (Patricia), and her sisters F. Joan Eysaldt and Rose Marie Hart (Larry).

A viewing will be held at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, on Thursday, May 20, from 5 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Beloved, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington. Entombment will be at All Saints Cemetery following Mass.
