Louise Marie Eckhardt (nee Dalquist), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at the age of 89. Loving wife of the late Robert Lee Eckhardt, Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Ida and Louis Dalquist; devoted mother of Robert (Diana) Eckhardt, Jr., Randy (Ramona) Eckhardt, and Julie (David) Lawson; cherished Granny of Aaron Eckhardt, Jamie (Kyle) Matthews, Miranda (Sean) Duran, Logan (Bridget) Eckhardt, Meredith (Greg) Kolkmeyer, Stephanie (Kal) Denlinger, Jacob (Kelly) Lawson, and Wade Lawson; treasured Great Granny of Eleanor Duran, Alana Denlinger, Avalynn Denlinger, Matthew Lawson, and Emma Lawson; dear sister of Marcella (the late Willard) Anderson and the late Dorothy (Ray) Leonard.
Louise was a devoted woman of faith, and she lived it every day. She faithfully attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles. She was very involved with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Rho-Chi Chapter of ESA, celebrating 60 years of volunteer service. She was very generous with her time, money, talents, love, and joy. She participated in the walk for St. Jude most years and was featured on the news for her accomplishment at 80 years young.
Family was very important to Louise, and she never missed an event for her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed traveling the world with her family and friends. She took road trips often to visit family and her friends. She remembered everyone's birthdays and always had a stack of cards ready to send out. She also made sure to text her family every day, and with an emoji every time.
Being social was second nature to Louise, no shyness about her, she was very outgoing. As a true social butterfly, she was even invited to a wedding of complete strangers while she was on vacation. She was determined, resilient, and not afraid to share her opinion. Nothing slowed her down and she didn't let anything get her down.
Louise was very active and enjoyed crossword puzzles, puzzles, sudoku, and clipping articles to send to her family. She loved to read. She always kept up on social events and the community with the news. She was a huge St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan and looked forward to watching their games.
Louise was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial contributions may be made in Louise's name to .
