Louise M. (Dubois) Mitchell, 91, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Harvey L. Mitchell, with whom she shared thirty wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Jefferson, New Hampshire, Louise was the daughter of the late Alfonse and Irene (Bodwin) Dubois. From an early age, she embodied the values of hard work, resilience, and generosity-qualities that defined her throughout her life. Louise dedicated herself to creating a warm and welcoming home, where family and friends gathered to share laughter, meals, and countless memories. Her home was truly her sanctuary, and she took great pride in making it a place of comfort and joy.

Louise was a woman of many passions. She found beauty in nature, especially in the sight of cardinals, which brought her peace and happiness. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping trips with her children, creating adventures that became treasured family stories. Holidays were particularly special to Louise; she hosted Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations with grace and warmth, ensuring everyone felt loved and included. Known for her exceptional culinary skills, Louise's macaroni and cheese was legendary among family and friends. She also delighted in family vacations, especially trips to Aruba, which held a special place in her heart. In her later years, she enjoyed the excitement of visiting casinos and playing the slot machines-a pastime that brought her joy and entertainment.

Above all, Louise's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, whose love and guidance shaped generations. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those she nurtured and cherished.

Louise is survived by her children: Harvey L. Mitchell, Jr. and his wife Debra of Salem, NH; Robin J. Mitchell of Haverhill, MA; Gary J. Mitchell and his wife Donna of Groveland, MA; Jeffrey A. Mitchell of Haverhill, MA; Christine A. Jones and her partner Robert Peach of Berwick, ME; and Derek A. Mitchell and his partner Maureen of Hudson, NH. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Tina, Michelle, Jacob, Nicole, Melissa, Randy, Jessica, Amanda, and Traci; great-grandchildren: Travis, Alex, Robbie, Liam, Connor, Parker, Trevor, Liam, Maryka, Joshua, Corey, Kelliegh, Colin, Regan, Chase, Cora, Cecilia, Kenny, and Theo; and great-great-grandchild, Journey.

Louise is also survived by her siblings: Rose Whitney; Alfonse "Butchy" Dubois and his wife Debbie; and Helen Cody and her husband Russell. In addition to her beloved husband Harvey, she was predeceased by her siblings Albert Dubois and his wife Renia, Joseph Dubois and his wife Christine, Robert Dubois and his wife Carol, Yvette [last name], Victoria Legault and her husband Clayton, and Jean Bradish and her husband Joseph.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Bradford, MA.

Louise will be remembered for her unwavering love for family, her generosity, and the countless memories she created for those she cherished most.
