Louise G. Snyder, 85, of Troy, IL, born Wednesday, March 23, 1938 in Rome, NY and passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, IL.
Louise was a faithful member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, IL where she was a member of the St. Ann Sodality. She received the St. Ann's Woman of Distinction Award in 2021 for service to family, church and her community. She helped with Red Cross Blood Drives and was involved with her daughters in the Camp Fire Girls Program. She loved her family and cherished the times they spent together especially grandchildren's activities and cooking for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Snyder Jr. whom she married July 2, 1960 and he passed on November 24. 2009; her son, Michael Snyder; daughter, Margarite Snyder; parents, Archangelo and Margaret (nee Seriano) Ciotti; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susan Ciotti, Betty (James) Martin, Norma (Al) Edlund, and sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara (Tony) Montalbano, Marion (Coleman) Comito, Olympia (Sal) Carletta as well as her brothers and a sister-in-law, Vincent (Gracie) Ciotti, Angelo Ciotti, Felix Ciotti, Patsy Ciotti, Louie Ciotti and Gabriel Ciotti; nephews, Blake Snyder, Rick Martin, Andre Ciotti, Chris Macknair, Angelo Ciotti, Vinnie Boy Ciotti, Felix Ciotti as well as niece and God daughter, Claudia Cimino and great-niece, Sharon Ciotti.
Surviving are her daughters, Michelle (Richard) Cook of Crosby, TX, MaryBeth (Danny) Tracy of Marine, IL and Melissa (Bradley) Rodgers of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Zack (Annie) Cook, Brittany (Dustin) Walsted, Dustin Cook, Bailey (Jake) Stack, Hallie (Elliot Meyer) Tracy, Murphy (Michael Gieselman) Tracy, Samuel Tracy, Reiley (Mitchel Widman) Tracy, Madalaina L. Hlava and Alexandra N. Hlava; great-grandchildren, Logan and Sloane Walsted, Jackson and Oliver Cook, Brantley, Jace and Cole Stack; her brother Anthony Ciotti of Rome, NY; brother-in-law, Dick (Peggy) Snyder; sisters-in-law, Palma Ciotti, Ruth Fraccola, Donna Ciotti, Karen Ciotti and Johann Ciotti; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Visitation for Louise will be 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin Laughery officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Barrack National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

Knowing you Louise was a wonderful memory in my life. Your love of family and your church was always first. Gods blessings I´m sure are written on a plaque in heaven. Your family was so very devoted to your well being. My deepest sympathies to your beautiful family.
