Louise passed away Friday March 1st, peacefully at home with her family by her side. Louise was born Feb 27th 1953 to Robert (Bob) & Nina Avery.
Louise married Manuel (Butch) Velasco on August 7th 1971at the Elm park Methodist church in Oneonta NY
Louise worked many years for the O.A.O.C milford Boces where she started as a substitute teacher then receiving her "LTA" certification, then moving on to become the head custodian and water operator. She dedicated 30+ years of her life before retiring in 2014.
Louise is survived by her husband of 53 year Butch and their favorite Maltese Abby, her son Jeremy & wife Janelle, grand children Rebecca (brett), Kirsten (kalvin) and Avery Lynne, Jeremy Jr (JJ), Peyton, and Jaidyn "aka Rick"
Her son Rob & wife Kim, grand children Zak and Timmy
And her "adopted Daughter" Margaret Jungclause and her husband Harry.
Louise loved being outside watching her birds & her grand children, and just soaking up the sunshine and fresh air, her trips to PA to the Amish country with the grandkids, Margaret, or her favorite cousin Lynda Craft...
Louise was predeceased by her mother and father Nina & Robert Avery, her son "little Butch" and brother in laws John and Kevin Velasco
A very special thanks to Tammy Jones, Casey Eckler, and Nino Tasari & the Milford Emergency Squad for helping make Louise's final wishes happen! We couldn't have done it without you!!!
Family & friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday March 10th from 12 to 2 pm at the Ottman Funeral home in Cherry Valley NY with a celebration of life following at 302 Hickory hill road, Maryland NY
Donations in Louise's memory may be made to Milford Emergency Squad Po box 359 Milford NY 13807
Arrangements are under the care of the Ottman Funeral Home. Cherry Valley, with cremation at The Leatherstocking Crematory, Cherry Valley.
