Mildred Louise Whitlow, 95, of Moulton, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with her son, Dr. Tommy Whitlow officiating. Burial will be at Montgomery Cemetery.
Born on November 16, 1929 to the late Everett and Mildred Simpson Stockton, Louise was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she was involved with the WMU, sang in the choir and was the pianist. She was also part of the Gideon's Auxiliary. Louise enjoyed horse racing, Andy Griffith, game shows and the Antique Road Show.
Survivors include her children, Faye (Gary) Steadman, Barbara (Roger) Dutton, Sharron Whitlow, and Tommy (Cherrie) Whitlow; grandchildren, Scott (Shelia) Steadman, Brent (Sam) Steadman, Matthew (Danielle) Steadman, Lee Dutton, Ben (Julie) Dutton, Rich (Kesha) Dutton, Emily (Michael) Wadkins, and Drew (Kristen) Whitlow; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Steadman, Dakota (Colby) Steadman, Kayleabeth Steadman, Bella Steadman, Paul Steadman, Roslynn Steadman, Jake Dutton, Hayley Rogers, Wiley Dutton, Wyatt Dutton, Gracie (Riley) Edmondson, Gage (Adi) Dutton, Emma Wadkins, Alex Whitlow, and Annie Louise Whitlow; great-great-grandson, Rhys Edmondson; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Onam Whitlow; parents; and brothers, Everett (Genice) Stockton, Jr., and Ray (Faye) Stockton.
Pallbearers will be Scott Steadman, Brent Steadman, Matthew Steadman, Lee Dutton, Ben Dutton, Rich Dutton, and Michael Wadkins. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Steadman, Roger Dutton, and Drew Whitlow.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Valley.
