Louise Eleanor (Gower) Worster

Louise passed peacefully on September 29, 2025 with her daughters by her side under the tender loving care given at the St. Francis Hospice Care Center in Melbourne, Florida.

In her lifetime Louise was defined by her devotion to her husband, family, friends, her career, and her love for God. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and spouse. Louise met and fell in love with Lloyd Raymond Worster (Chip) in Maine and they were married in 1954 while he served in the Air Force. Louise loved spending time with her friends and her family of 4 daughters, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Each year they enjoyed spending time with their family in their summer cabin in Maine. Louise took immense pride in her work and was a Vice President of Southeast Bank in Melbourne.

In their retirement years, Louise and Chip enjoyed happy days sailing on the ocean and were part of the Grumpy Ole Sailor group and enjoyed lifelong friendships. Their sense of adventure, dedication to each other and their commitment to enjoy their retired years was evident to all who knew her. She was an active member of Trinity Wellsprings Church in Satellite Beach, where she served on various committees. Louise lived at Buena Vida Estates with her husband Chip until his passing. She loved winning at bingo, bridge and enjoyed all the many friends she met there.

Louise is survived by her daughters Rebecca Al-Mutairi, Belinda Lantz (Jack), Jodi Strickle (Jeff); her grandchildren, Jonathan, Sharifa, Benjamin, Maryam, Abdullah, Mohammed, Jacob, Yusef, Jared, and Amani; her great grandchildren, Eileen, Hilal, Brody, Aisha, Stesha, Aisha, Shahin, Munirah, and Naji; her siblings, Gerald Gower (Janice), Lois Morin (Leonard), Horace Gower (Sonya), Elmira Collins (Clayton). She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Karin Gower, her infant brother Norman Gower, her spouse Chip Worster, her daughter Wendy Hocevar, and her son-in-law Naji Al-Mutairi.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Buena Vida Estates, 2129 W New Haven Ave, Melbourne, FL 32904 on October 4th at 2:00 pm. A private burial will be held at Cape Canaveral National Veterans Cemetery later in October.
