Mrs. Lovie Poole, age 85, of Woodburn, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory and will continue on Friday, August 2, from 6:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
Lovie was born on December 18, 1938 in Red Boiling Springs, TN to the late Ernest Hudson and the late Ollie Mae (Wright) Hudson. She is also preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra Faye Finn and Melissa Lee Uhls Rhea; one great-grandson, John Rimmel; five siblings, Louise Morgan, Gene Hudson, Alvis Hudson, Junior Hudson and Peggy Sue Sircy.
She is survived by three children, Danny Ray Finn (Jennifer) of Bowling Green, KY, Rita Diane Johnson of Franklin, KY and Jackie Cassity of Woodburn, KY; eight grandchildren, Misty Rhodes, Jada Johnson, Danny Finn, Jr., Terra Cassity, Derrick Moore, Dalton Cassity, Nick Rhea and Taylor Uhls; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Poole formerly attended Millersville Assembly of God. She was a retired laborer of Southern Gage/Vermont Thread Gauge and was a Union Steward for Southern Gage. She liked gardening, mowing her yard, and watching Wheel of Fortune or the Price is Right.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or online at diabetes.org. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
