Lowell "Buck" McComas, 84, of Prichard, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Lowell was born February 13, 1940 in Prichard, WV to the late Clyde and Eunice (Webb) McComas.
Lowell went to work for BoxBoard in Rittman, OH in 1957 at the age of 17. He retired in 1980 and returned home to West Virginia. Lowell loved to play cards and taught everyone to play Euchre. He loved gospel and bluegrass music and enjoyed singing in the choir. Lowell loved a birthday party, especially his own. Mostly, he loved being with his family and friends. When he was able, he attended Bellomy Chapel Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Doris Kirby, Ronald McComas, Donald McComas, and Vernon McComas.
Surviving are his wife Eileen McComas; daughters Trelma (Daniel) Davis and Gala (Alvis) Stacy; grandchildren Morgan (Brittany) Stacy and Dustin (Taylor) Stacy; great grandchildren Madilyn Stacy, Carson Stacy, Bentley Stacy, Brynleigh Stacy, and Parker Stacy; brothers Frank (Sam) McComas and Kenny McComas; sister Naomi Adkins; very special brother and sisters in law Trelma and Arthur Fuller and Doris McComas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 12:00 PM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. McComas and his family.
