Lowell Schreyer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Asheville Mortuary Services on Feb. 25, 2025.
With hearts full of love and gratitude for a well-lived life, we share the passing of Lowell Schreyer. He went home to be with Jesus on February 20, 2025. Lowell was born in Glen Rock, New Jersey on May 28, 1929, to the late George and Louise Schreyer. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Kathryn Rose Watkins Schreyer. Lowell graduated from Ridgewood High School, Ridgewood, New Jersey, in 1947. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. In active duty he worked as a dental technician and switchboard operator. Lowell was fond of his community in Etowah's Reach, was a member of Horse Shoe First Baptist Church, was adventurous and adored traveling, especially out west, was a gifted piano player, and loved to be with friends. His memory, smile, and sense of humor will be cherished by all who knew him.
A memorial service honoring his life and legacy will be held at Horse Shoe First Baptist Church on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1 pm.

Lowell was a great Christian man. He loved playing piano and I called him Liberace. :)

I will miss you dear friend on this eartly plain. I know that you were lifted on angels wings and delivered into the arms of our Heavenly Father. I find comfort knowing you are free from pain dear friend.
A poem that fits Lowell to a T. Bree
"His Journey´s Just Begun" by Ellen Brenneman

Don´t think of him as gone away
his journey´s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.
