Loy Marie Haley, 82, passed away on August 9, 2025, in San Angelo, TX. Loy was born on November 3,1942 to Loyd and Alma Asbeck. She lived most of her life in San Angelo. Graduating from Lake View High School in 1960. After graduation she married her beloved husband Bill on March 31,1961 and started the family she so dearly loved.
In 1985, Loy and family moved to Big Sandy, TX. Where they owned and operated Two Rivers Grocery. She enjoyed working by Bill’s side and her family for several years. In her time in East Texas, she made many dear friends and wonderful memories. Loy and Bill sold Two Rivers grocery and retired in 1991. After enjoying a brief time living in Holly Lake Ranch, she and Bill returned to San Angelo in 1995.
Loy was a member of Glen Meadows Baptist church for 27 years. She loved her church family, life group and bible studies. Loy loved everyone. The kindness and love she showed to her family, friends and strangers will leave a lasting testimony. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that she cherished. She also enjoyed many years of traveling and playing tennis with her ladies’ league.
Those left to treasure her memory include her beloved husband of 64 years, Bill Haley; sons, Mark Louis Haley (Yvonne Jenson), Tonkawa OK.; Tommy Haley (Carla Haley), Gladewater, TX. Grandchildren, Mark Haley (Drucilla Haley), Loy Toland (Casey Toland), Hannah Lux (Dawson Lux), Christian, Joshua, Benjamin, Samuel, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Sarah, Annah Haley. Brandi Chandler, Chris Haley (Deb Haley), Payton Haley and Parker Haley; Great grandchildren, Caleb, Chance and Cole Haley, Logan and Chase Haley, Leo Lux. Sister-in-law Jean Meek (Dave Richardson); niece Schuyler Cunningham (Ken Cunningham) Kailey and Bryce Cunningham. Extended family Cindy Patterson.
She is preceded in death by her father, Loyd Asbeck; mother and stepfather, Alma and Ted Tedder. Son, Lonnie Haley; and niece Heather Meek.
A graveside service will be held at Belvedere Cemetery, on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
