Loy Herbert Nicley

Loy Herbert Nicley – age 76 of Washburn, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Powder Springs Missionary Baptist Church and a retired employee of Star Construction. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Maurine Nicley; sons, Brad Nicley, Matthew Nicley; siblings, Joyce Hurst, Leo Nicley, Mark Nicley; mother-in-law, Inez Merritt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 and a half years, Patricia Merritt Nicley; grandchildren, Noah Nicley, Callie Nicley, Gracee Nicley; step-grandchildren, Madelynn Sobolewski, Reece Sobolewski; daughter-in-law, Crystal Nicley; brother, Robert (Lois) Nicley; sisters, Eileen (Dale) Arnwine, Sandy (Wesley) Munsey; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Steven Branscomb and Rev. Darrell Williams, music by the Trent Family. Veteran interment service will immediately follow funeral service at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Washburn. Pallbearers will be Wayne Brock, Benny Shelton, Danny Helton, Noah Nicley, Reuben Duncan, Dewayne Lay. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Bailey, Wesley Munsey, Josh Apa, Eddie Scearce. Tri County Veterans Honor Guard conducting the Veteran Interment service. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
