Loyd "Bryson" Beebe was born on April 10, 1951, in Anderson, South Carolina, to Loyd Matthew Beebe and Ruth (Taylor) Beebe. He passed from this life on August 12, 2025, at his residence in Lindsay, Oklahoma, at the age of 74. At the age of nineteen, Bryson made the choice to join the United States Air Force, and it was there that he was trained to become a dedicated serviceman and skilled professional. He proudly served his country with honor as a K9 military police officer from 1970 to 1975. While in the Air Force, Bryson also cross-trained in Air Traffic Control. Following his military service he pursued a bachelor's degree from Clemson University, graduating in 1979. After graduation, Bryson made the move to Fort Worth, Texas, to embark on a successful career as an air traffic controller. It was there that he met the love of his life, Mickey Casey, and they were married on April 3, 2001. From his first day working at Meacham International Airport until the day he retired in 2006, Bryson continually used all the training and knowledge he had gained from his time in the Air Force. He was known for his work ethic and his dedication to excellence. It served Bryson well not only in his career, but in every aspect of his life. Though he took his responsibilities seriously, he was the biggest jokester. Bryson loved to laugh and bring joy to everyone around him, he truly was "The Man"! Bryson and Mickey made the choice to move to Lindsay, Oklahoma, to be closer to family in 2023. Bryson's interests were varied and many. He enjoyed playing games and was especially fond of billiards. Bryson also liked to relax by reading a good book. But Bryson's greatest treasure was his family. Above all else he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bryson will be missed by all who knew him and will always be remembered for his love and dedication to his family and his country. Left to cherish Bryson's memory is his wife, Mickey (Casey) Beebe, his daughters, Jackie Dempsey, Allie Beebe and Stafford Farmer, Kory Beebe, Regina and Brian Archer, Ronny and Jeanna Neeley, Michelle Reynolds, and Stacy Reynolds, his sister, Peggy (Beebe) and Jack Haynes, his grandchildren, Erica and Jonathan Montgomery, Hunter Beebe, Amanda Ballard, Perry Jewell, Jonathan and Emilee Jewell, Connor Neeley, and Katie Neeley, his great-grandchildren, Matthew Ballard, David Ballard Aubree Ballard, Luke Ballard, Landon Jewell, Slayton Jewell, and Sayla Jewell. Bryson is preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Ruth Beebe. Services are under the direction of Scott and Angel Wilbourn of Wilbourn Family Funeral Home. Another distinguished Clemson Alum and American Patriot Airman now rests in honored glory as God's newest angel. While I never had the privilege of knowing or meeting Loyd, I am honored that he continued the long tradition of Clemson graduates who selflessly served our great country as I am positive that his honored service was marked by Duty-Honor-Country! "Where the Blue Ridge yawns its greatness, where the Tigers play .........." Earl Hansford Grubbs BHS 63 CU67 Retired Army Airborne Ranger Aviator Air Traffic Controller
