Luanne Smith Obituary
Luanne Sutera “Sally” Smith, age 72, peacefully entered Eternal rest on Saturday, January 07, 2023. She was truly a wonderful mother, grandmother and beloved daughter and will be greatly missed. Luanne is preceded in death by her father: Joseph Sutera, sister: Patricia Sutera, and beloved daughter: Sarah Mitchell. She is survived by her mother: Lucille Sutera, her sons: Noah “Jed” Smith, and Ephraim “Jack” Smith, nine beautiful grandchildren, as well as her son in law, Nick Mitchell and two daughters in law: Lori Smith and Elle Mitchell. Luanne is also survived by two loving sisters, Debbie Smith and Dena Patterson, as well as seven nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends that will forever cherish and honor her memory.
Luanne was a beautiful, gifted schoolteacher of arts, history, and music. She was a certified practitioner of a holistic approach to medicine. She is known by all for her kindness, and friendship, as well as a great sense of humor. She put a smile on the faces of all that she encountered, which will remain forever in their hearts.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler, El Paso, TX 79912
A Private Family Graveside Service will follow.
Pallbearers include her son in law: Nick Mitchell and grandsons: Nathaniel Smith, Mark Smith, Peter Smith, Jonathan Mitchell, and Brandon Mitchell.
Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler.
