Ralph Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by St. John's Family Funeral Home & Crematory on Feb. 23, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ralph "Bo" R. Smith, aged 60, who left us peacefully on February 17, 2026, in Saint Augustine, Florida. Born on June 6, 1965, in Green Cove Springs, Ralph was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone he encountered.

Ralph, an industrious soul, was the proud owner and operator of "Double Trouble Towing," a business he lovingly named after his two oldest sons. His incredible skill at mechanics was only rivaled by his passion for fishing-something he cherished dearly. Many joyful memories revolve around his fishing trips to the Florida Keys, where, even amidst the irony of catching multiple flat tires en route, his humor and positivity shone through.

As a dedicated family man, Ralph prioritised those he loved above all else. Married to his beloved wife Sue since 1991, Ralph was the embodiment of selflessness. He was known to give the shirt off his back and always emphasized that financial struggles were temporary as long as his family was taken care of. Friday nights were sacred, reserved for family dinners, bonding over food and laughter. Ralph brought endless joy to children, keeping an ice cream box in his office to see their smiles brighten the day.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife Sue, sons Bradley, Bryan, Kevin, and daughters Jan Stratton and Tracy Lee, as well as his grandchildren-Katie, Abigail, Bryan, Dallas, Easton, Natalee, Adalee, Hanna Lee, Alexis Livingston-and great-grandchild Hudson Weedman. He will be dearly missed by his, sister Betty Quigley, and brothers Ronald, Billy, and Lee Smith.

A memorial service will be held to honor Ralph's life and legacy on February 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM at St. Johns Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating a man who truly knew the meaning of love and family.

In the spirit of Ralph's kindness, the family encourages those who attend to share stories, laughter, and memories that encapsulate the joy he brought to so many lives. As we say goodbye to a remarkable husband, father, and friend, let us remember Ralph "Bo" Smith as a man who made the world a little brighter for everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
