Lucas Creed Chambers, 18, of Brighton Colorado passed away on June 2nd, 2024. He was born September 18th, 2005, to William Chambers and Tracey Bonifanti. Lucas was a recent graduate of Brighton High School in 2024.
As a child and growing up, Lucas was enthusiastic about life. He loved so many people and so many things. He will always be remembered for his self-assurance, witty sense of humor, infectious energy, and smile. His ability to light up any room with humor and fun was unmatched. He was always intelligent and independent from a young age. He was confident about who he was and where he was going. His worries in this life were few, and he lived every day with a smile. He had an immense love for the people in his life. He was a son, brother, partner, cousin, nephew, grandson, and a friend who impacted the life of everyone that ever knew him. Lucas had many enthusiastic interests and hobbies.
After winning prom king and graduating high school, he wanted to be a pilot, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Joe Chambers. Out of all his hobbies, he was especially interested in cars, motorcycles, and dirt bikes. He and his father, Will, spent a lot of time together on these hobbies, which only strengthened the bond that they had. Lucas was a lover of music; his dad taught him how to play the guitar at a young age. Something that his family will remember of him was his way of lighting up the room with music. His mother, Tracey, remembers her time with Lucas fondly. She loved watching him be a great big brother to his younger siblings, Presley, and Lemmy. She also recalls how amazing he was at cooking for her and the family. His big sister Cassidy recalls him as an 'old soul'. He was always the coolest kid to hang out withsurpassing others his age in wit and maturity. His stepmom, Mary, recalls them becoming best friends immediately. When Lucas was a kid, we remember him fondly for the things he loved; SpongeBob, his bear named Mike, Dr. Pepper, and Lightning McQueen. As he grew up, his passions evolved into going to the gym, hunting, and fishing at the cabin, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Lucas was also remembered as a devoted partner and amazing best friend. Everyone who knew him loved him immediately upon meeting him. Some of the most important things he did with his friends include riding dirt bikes, going to Cane's, and going to Guitar Center with his friend Alex. He also loved riding in the mustang and talking about cars with Isaias. In addition to being a great friend, Lucas was also an amazing partner to his girlfriend, Emma. The two of them shared a bond that only a few are lucky enough to experience in life. Emma was his best friend and confidant. Emma knows he was her better half.
Lucas is survived by his father and stepmother, William and Mary Chambers, his mother Tracey Bonifanti, his sisters Cassidy Chambers and Presley Ellis, brother Lemmy Ellis, grandparents Ron and Joy Avery, Phyllis White, Joe and Karen Chambers, Martin Bonifanti. And many uncles, aunts, cousins, godparents who loved him so much.
In lieu of sending flowers, our family is kindly accepting donations for charity on Lucas' behalf. The charity is yet to be decided, but we are looking into reputable programs that promote ocean safety and drowning prevention. The link to this fundraiser is listed below.
