Cochran - Lucile Arrington Alligood, age 99, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at Emanuel County Nursing Home in Swainsboro. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Alligood Cemetery on Alligood Cemetery Road in Dexter. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at Mathis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lucile, born April 13,1926 in Johnson County, was the daughter of the late Willie Arrington, Sr. and Frances Horton Arrington. She was preceded in death by her husband Delmas Alligood, her daughter, Del A. Bryant, her siblings, Lydia Mae Woodard, Mary Graham, Willie Arrington Jr., Josephine Coleman, Margarite Simmons, and Robert Arrington. Mrs. Lucile was retired from L&H Shirt Factory and was well known in the community as an accomplished seamstress who did lots of sewing for many people.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in -law, Mary and Windell McNure of Swainsboro, grandchildren, Dean McNure (Mandy) of Swainsboro, Regina Garnto (Randy) of Swainsboro, Tricia Hyland (Jason) of Appling, and Don Bryant (Shelly) of Cochran who she raised as her own child, great grandchildren, Rachel Boggs (Kyle), Bailey McNure, Cole Hyland, Levi Bryant, Lara McNure, and Mason Bryant, and great-great grandchildren Kylie, Emery, and Ivy-Claire Boggs. She was "Aunt Cile" to her many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her niece, Gayle Smith for all that she did for Mama.
