Lucile Giedt Obituary

Lucile Whitney (Elliott) (Skilton) Giedt passed from this earth on July 28, 2022, in Allentown, PA. She was laid to rest on August 8, 2022 at Greenwood Cemetery in Allentown, PA.
She was preceded in death by her Parents Howard Grant Whitney and Ellice Henrie Whitney, her brothers Ralph Whitney and Kent Whitney. She is survived by her brothers; Kim Whitney, Joel Whitney and David Whitney and her sister Elyce Whitney Joseph, her children Warren Elliott, Venyce (Elliott) VanBuskirk, Dawn (Elliott) McDonnell, Stephanie (Elliott) Prunier, Rebecca (Elliott) Walton and Jeremy Skilton, nineteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Lucile was born in Panguitch, Utah on October 3, 1947. She spent most of her formative years in Lone Pine, California where she was raised in a quaint home in the Alabama Hills surrounded by a large loving family. She graduated from Lone Pine High School in 1966. She married Bradley Warren Elliott May 22, 1966, they had 5 children together. Later in life she married Robert Reginald Skilton and had her son Jeremy. Lucile spent her early years mostly in California, then later in life she moved to be closer to her children on the east coast settling in Pennsylvania.
Lucile loved her family and tried to keep in touch with all her siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She will be greatly missed by many. Her family finds solace in the gospel of Jesus Christ and knows that we will one day be reunited with her. We are so grateful for all the many kindnesses that have been shown to our mother by so many throughout her life. May our mother be at peace. May blessings pour down from Heaven to all that she knew and loved.
