Mrs. Calvert, 96, of the Martin Community, died Sunday, May 4, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Lucille loved to cook and provide a home for her family. She was the best cook and took great pride in making a meal for any and everyone who sat at her table. She was an avid gardener and raised many vegetables to can through the years, always providing for her family. She loved playing board games, cards, dominos and all types of games after sharing a meal together. Mrs. Calvert was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Collinsville. Her most favorite title was "Mamaw Lucy" which was given to her by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, whom she loved and adored.
Mrs. Calvert is survived by her children, Clariece Duncan, Charlotte Vaughn (Kelly), Teresa Rigdon (Dennis), and Wendy Siepert; grandchildren, Stacy Bradley (Paul), Jason Duncan (Kim), Wade Duncan (Brandie), Christy Bennett, Chad Vaughn (Sela), Lee Rigdon (Jessica), and Alan Rigdon (Jenny); 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Mrs. Lucille is preceded in death by her husband of over 46 years, Winston Calvert; her parents, Edgar and Clara Long; and her brothers, Lamar Long and Laverne Long.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Paul Bradley, Jason Duncan, Chad Vaughn, Wade Duncan, Lee Rigdon, and Alan Rigdon.
