Lucille (Amstutz) Dye, 96 years old, of New Albany, Ohio, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at The Avalon of New Albany assisted living facility. She was born December 25, 1928, in Farmington, Ohio, the daughter of the late Everett and Adelaide Woods McHugh. In addition to her parents, Lucille was also preceded in death by her first husband, I. Scott Amstutz, second husband, William H. Dye, and one son, Larry W. Amstutz, and her brother Glenn McHugh.

Lucille retired from the former Peoples National Bank of Mt. Pleasant as a bookkeeper. She was a member of The Mt. Pleasant Friends Church. Lucille loved gardening, hummingbirds, traveling in her motor home, doing word search puzzles, and playing Rummikub. She was also an Ohio State Buckeye football fan who never missed watching a game. She worked on the local election board in Mt. Pleasant for decades and served as Mt. Pleasant Township Fiscal Officer for several years.

Lucille was a loving, caring wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is now with her Lord and Savior and reunited with many family members and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Karl Amstutz (Donna), daughter, Janet Carraher (Christopher), special granddaughter Elizabeth Carraher (partner Ryan Gelofsack), and great niece Amber Talpas, as well as other family members and friends.

Special thanks to caregiver Tammy, at The Avalon, who always took incredibly exceptional care of Lucille. Also, to Mt. Carmel Hospice for providing compassionate, loving end-of-life care.

Per Lucille's final wishes, all services will be private, immediate family only.
