Lucille Ferguson, 100, of Dyersburg, died Monday, August 28, 2023 at Oakwood Community Living Century. Born October 1, 1922, she is the daughter of the late Doss and Nellie Perciful Johnson. Mrs. Ferguson retired from Dyersburg Fabrics in 1986. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and a former hospital volunteer for 20 years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Ronnie Turner with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 31st beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eric Evans, Kevin Clymer, Tyler McDonald, Zane Walker, Kevin Joslin and Shawn Criswell will serve as pallbearers.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Morgan, Bobbie Hood, both of Dyersburg, Paulette Clymer (Klyce) of Bartlett; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Ferguson; one grandchild, Camille Gillespie Peoples; one great-grandchild, Dude Gillespie and two sisters, Margie Akers and L.V. Bassie.
