Lucille Marie Forstrom, 97, of Upper Pine Creek, Iron Mountain, MI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Lucille was one of six children of Bert and Mary Calcari of Iron Mountain, MI. She was the loving wife of Carl David Forstrom for 70 years until his death in 2020; loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Lucille and Carl raised their children in Waukegan, IL until they retired and returned to their hometown of Iron Mountain, MI in 1991. They enjoyed dancing to live music well into their eighties. She enjoyed her charity work in Waukegan for St. Dismas Church and Meals on Wheels. She was an expert seamstress, crafter and baker. She loved cooking for her family. Her pasties were considered by many to be the best in the Upper Peninsula and difficult to replicate as her family will attest to. Lucille loved her Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by her three children, Guy (Vickie) Forstrom of Quinnesec, MI, Gary (Barbara) Forstrom of Henderson, TX, and Lisa (Rick) Hopkins of Iron Mountain, MI; five grandchildren, Erika (Cliff) Forstrom, Rebeka Forstrom, Adrian Wilcox, Chris (Diane) Wilcox, Mark (Donna) Wilcox; and six great-grandchildren, Brandon Wilcox, Caeden Wilcox, Ethan Wilcox, Toby Wilcox, Hunter Stevens and Grayson Goad.
A private family gathering was held.
Condolences to the family of Lucille Forstrom may be expressed online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com
