Michael Roy Chellew, Sr., 66, of Iron Mountain, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was born on April 3, 1959, in Key West, Florida, to the late Roy E. Chellew, Sr. and Nancy (Wills) Chellew. Mike grew up in the Upper Peninsula, graduating from Kingsford High School before furthering his education in college. For over 30 years, he dedicated himself to his career as an over-the-road truck driver, finding purpose in the open road. On June 17, 2004, Mike married Susan Jean Roy, in L'Anse, Michigan. A true outdoorsman, Mike's passions included fishing, camping, and embracing the beauty of nature. Above all, he cherished spending time with his beloved family, creating memories that will live on in their hearts. Mike is survived by his devoted wife, Susie; his daughter, Tonya (Shane) DeCremer of Iron Mountain; his son, Michael R. Chellew, Jr. of Norway; his stepdaughter, Lindsey (Eric) Hikade; his brothers, Roy Chellew, Bryan (Lisa) Chellew, and Matthew (Tori) Chellew; his sisters, Patty (Clyde) Lancor and Debbie (Ross) Jenkins; and six cherished grandchildren, Christina, Peyton, Logan, Alexandria, Laney, and Colton. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and good friends. A private family service will be held at a later date.
