Lucille Johnson of Knifley, daughter of the late Corbit Dunham and Christine Baskerville Dunham Mann, was born July 18, 1947 in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 9:37 P.M., Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Campbellsville. Age 78
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Knifley Christian Church.
Lucille was a wonderful homemaker and loved to babysit.
She united in marriage to Melvin Johnson July 31, 1964 and he preceded her in death March 24, 2025. Lucille is survived by one daughter, Mary Kay Cox and significant other, James Biven of Campbellsville; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Johnson of Danville; seven grandchildren: Nathan Cox and wife, Victoria of Knifley, Makayla Young and husband, Brandon of Greensburg, Andrea Patterson and Don and Markiesha Yocum and Zack of Danville, Justin Carter and wife, Tara of Columbia, Jonathan Armstrong and wife, Jennifer of Florida and Allen Johnson; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise Stearman and husband, Wayne of Campbellsville; her fur babies, Porscha and Milo; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Lucille was also preceded in death by a son, Joey Johnson August 13, 2025 and three brothers and one sister: Ernest Dunham, Vernest Dunham, Benny Dunham and Mary Helen Rogers.
