Lucille “Lucy” Miller, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on January 14, 1956, in Fleming, KY, Lucy was the daughter of the late Glessie Combs. Later in life, Lucy met the love of her life and best friend who she married on November 12, 1977.
Lucy leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, having shared 47 wonderful years with her devoted husband, David Miller. She was a proud mother to her two daughters, Michelle (Russell) Converse and their son, Will, as well as Megan (Justin) Cunningham and their son, Odin and his older sister, Cadence Doyle. Lucy's warmth touched the hearts of many, and she will be dearly missed by her extended circle of family and friends.
A visitation to honor Lucy's life will be held at Grayson Funeral Home, 893 High Street, Charlestown, IN, on Saturday, July 12, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:00. She will be laid to rest at Charlestown Cemetery.
For several years, Lucy was employed for the Greater Clark County School System and later, the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville. Yet, it was her role as a homemaker that brought her the deepest joy. Whether traveling the open road on the back of a motorcycle with David, tending to her garden, or crafting beautiful creations, Lucy embraced life to the fullest.
Her greatest treasure was her family, and she found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren. A woman of strong faith, Lucy drew strength and comfort from reading God’s word, a testament to her resilient spirit.
As we remember Lucy, let us carry her love, kindness, and unwavering faith in our hearts. While her physical presence may no longer be with us, her spirit will forever shine brightly in the lives she touched.
