Lucille Muenz Obituary

Lucille M. Muenz nee Snyder, 94, Wright City, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025.

Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church. Lucille was born April 18, 1931, in Catawissa, Missouri, to the late Walter and Agnes Snyder nee Rodemacher.

Lucille graduated from Pacific High School and went to work at the Sears Department Stores for many years. As a young adult Lucille played softball for Meri-Mac's softball team as a catcher, and she spent many years volunteering as a coach for the Little League teams.

She married the love of her life, William Muenz, Oct. 15, 1966, in Pacific, Missouri. To this union three children were born, Robert, Cindy, and Lisa. Being a wife and mother was one of Lucille's greatest accomplishments, and she was proud to be able to stay home as a homemaker. She loved being able to coach softball again as her kids played throughout their childhood.

Lucille was an active and devoted member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a longtime volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Society and Agape Food Pantry. Lucille had won the Presidental Volunteer Award with Agape. Lucille was also a member of the Wrights and Lefts Square Dance Club, and Missourians Against Hazardous Waste. She was an avid Pinochle player.

She is survived by her beloved husband William Muenz; three children Robert (Suzanne) Muenz, Blue Springs, Missouri, Lisa (Rodney) Marquart, Dutzow, Cindy (Michael) Bisacca, Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Ethel Vales, Glendale, Arizona; five grandchildren Nicole (Kenneth Stoddard) Muenz, Shawn (Kirsten Hill) Polston, Nathan Muenz, Samuel Marquart, and Christine Marquart; great-grandson, Wyatt Hill, and her many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Leona Snyder and Ruth Stumpf. Lucille will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 26, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Funeral to follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton, with burial in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Warrenton.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or Agape in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383.
