Lucille Marie Palucci, age 90, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Wellington Estates in Spring Lake, NJ. She was born on October 2, 1934, in Jersey City, NJ to her father Louis Palucci and her mother Victoria Updike Palucci. Following her father's passing, she began working and attended the Accredited Evening High School in Jersey City, NJ, graduating in June of 1952. Lucille married Joseph W Palczewski in May 1954. Lucille and Joe lived in New London, Connecticut early in their marriage before returning to New Jersey to start a family. She held several part time jobs while raising her children before starting a career at Fort Monmouth where she retired as a computer programming instructor. Lucille was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. She loved spending time with family, especially her granddaughter with whom she introduced to various crafts. Lucille loved music. When you walked into her home, selections from her large library of records and CDs would be playing. She attended church services regularly where she worshipped in song both individually and in the choir. She also enjoyed traveling with friends and family.
Lucille is predeceased by her parents Victoria and Louis Palucci as well as her sister Elizabeth Ron.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gately and Joanne Walsh, sons-in-law, William Gately and John Walsh; sister, Kathleen Remazowski; granddaughter, Emily Callery, Emily's husband, John; great-granddaughter, Faye Louise Callery and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association or to the donor's favorite charity. For condolences please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
