It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lucille Rogers Phillips, who died peacefully on December 19, 2024. Lucille was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Lucille was married for 74 years to her beloved husband, Edwin Phillips. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda, as well as her grandson, Jeff Stephens, and her great-grandson, Ryan Saxton. She shared a special bond with her sister, Dorothy Rogers Ross, who is 92 years old and resides in Oakland, California.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin Phillips, her daughter, Diane Stephens, and her grandson, Edwin Blake Stephens. She is also preceded by her parents, Peter Phoican and Emma Amison Rogers, along with her three brothers: Norman, Allison, and Boyd Rogers, and her sister, Pauline Rogers.
Lucille will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 12noon. The family will receive friends from 11am until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
